The UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group opened a primary care office in Lombard, increasing access to medical care for area residents and expanding the group’s footprint in Chicago’s western suburbs.
Located at 2050 Finley Road, Suite 50, the 4,000-square-foot office opened to patients on December 9. The office is in a one-level building, with ample parking just outside the front door. “It’s very convenient,” said Patricia Wallace, interim director of practice operations. “We’re right off of Finley in between Roosevelt and Cermak. It’s very accessible and easy to get to.”
Services available at UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group Primary Care at Lombard will include:
- Acute and chronic disease treatment
- Annual wellness exams
- Cancer prevention and screening
- Chronic disease management
- Family medicine
- Immunizations and flu shots
- Management of complex health conditions
- Medication management
- Minor office procedures
- Preventive health screenings
- School and sports physicals
- Sick visits
The facility also includes an onsite lab, and X-ray services are expected to be available beginning next spring.
Five family medicine physicians, each with 10 to 20 years of medical experience, will staff the facility, supported by a nurse, four medical assistants and two medical receptionists. Other team members will include a director of practice operations, practice manager and charge claims processor.
The physicians — Charles Friedl, DO, James Graziano, MD, Sheri Lyn Evans, DO, Manjari Ranganathan, MD, and Jesse Lauren Kulig, DO — are joining the UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group after working together at another Chicago-area healthcare system. Drs. Friedl, Graziano, Evans and Ranganathan earlier belonged to the AdventHealth Medical Group when AdventHealth’s Great Lakes Region was part of AMITA Health, a joint venture with Ascension that ended in 2022.
“We’re looking forward to helping UChicago Medicine AdventHealth expand access to primary care services in the Lombard area,” Dr. Friedl said. “As family medicine physicians, we are committed to providing compassionate care for patients of all ages through every stage of their lives. The primary care office in Lombard is open from 7:30 am to 7 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays, from 7:30 am to 8 pm on Thursdays, and from 7:30 am to 4 pm on Fridays. Same-day and next-day appointments, as well as virtual visits, will be available for acute issues not requiring an emergency room visit, such as sore throats and fevers.

Friedl, Graziano, Evans, Ranganathan and Kulig are welcome to see their doctor at the facility. With the opening of the Lombard practice, the UChicago Medicine AdventHealth Medical Group will include 19 primary care sites and a total of nearly 50 locations offering primary care, specialty care or both. The group consists of more than 220 physicians and mid-level providers.
