Omer Doron, MD, PhD, specializes in endovascular and cerebrovascular neurosurgery. He treats vascular disease of the central nervous system – aneurysms, strokes, carotid disease and vascular malformations – using both minimally invasive and open microsurgical techniques.
He treats one of the most complex forms of stroke, intracranial hemorrhage (ICH), and can identify good candidates for revascularization procedures. He also provides neurosurgical care for brain tumors, hydrocephalus and head trauma.
Dr. Doron helps his patients understand their condition(s) and explains their treatment options. He believes that their care is not limited to before and immediately after surgery but is part of an ongoing healthcare journey.
He is involved in research, developing new treatments, tools and devices to improve care for neurosurgical patients. His work has been published in several clinical and basic science journals and textbook chapters.
