Dr. Kurdi Wood joined the Hinsdale Family Medicine residency program as core faculty in 2024. After completing her residency at Broadlawns Medical Center in Des Moines, IA, she joined the Perinatal Child Health fellowship at PCC and West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, IL. There, she completed training in high risk and surgical obstetrics. After completing her fellowship, she stayed on as core faculty for the Family Medicine residency program at West Suburban for 3 years.
Dr. Kurdi Wood loves seeing patients of all ages, but especially enjoys pregnancy, women's health, newborns, and pediatrics. She loves providing full-spectrum care for her patients and being able to say she does "everything!" when asked by friends and family.
Dr. Kurdi Wood was born and raised in the suburbs of St. Louis but moved to Chicago for undergrad at Loyola. There, she met and married her husband, which kept her in snowy Chicago! She also has two young children, so in her small amount of free time, she loves reading, taking care of her indoor plants, watching Best Picture nominess, and watching Jeopardy.
