Program Director
Dr. Sleuwen has been a part of the Hinsdale Family Medicine Residency since 1999. After spending 6 months as a faculty member at her residency program in St. Louis, Dr. Sleuwen moved to Chicago and was hired as a faculty member at Hinsdale. Over the years, she has worn many different hats in the program including Director of Medical Students, Director of Maternity Education, Director of Resident Education as well as spending time as Vice Chair and Chair of Family Medicine for the hospital.
Dr. Sleuwen became program director in 2019 and enjoys taking on a more administrative role yet, she is still able to keep her skills up on the clinical side by taking calls and seeing patients in the clinic. Clinically, Dr. Sleuwen loves providing full-scope medical care to patients but especially loves dealing with chronic conditions, dermatologic procedures, and preventative care.
In her free time, Dr. Sleuwen loves traveling with her husband and 2 adult children. Europe is the usual spot for most of her travel, but she is always open to go to other parts of the world. She also loves cooking, reading, and going for walks.
