Bridget Nord, MD

Director of Medication Assisted Treatment

As a third-generation physician, Dr. Bridget Nord followed her father and two uncles' footsteps and completed medical school at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara Mexico and obtained her ECFMG certificate with New York Medical College. Prior to starting residency in family medicine at the Loyola-Cook County-Provident program in Chicago, Dr. Nord co-founded Nord Medical Weight Loss Clinic and taught medical assistant courses at Robert Morris University.

In residency, Dr. Nord was chief resident in her 3rd year and completed a faculty development traineeship. She followed her passion in medicine by working with the underserved in an Innercity FQHC, PrimeCare. There she was adjunct faculty with the Saints Mary and Elizabeth Residency Program and became director of the Medication Assisted Treatment clinic for opioid use disorders.

After a few years, she was full-time faculty and developed an Addiction curriculum and rotation for the residents. With two young daughters, she landed in La Grange close to her mother and joined the Hinsdale Family Medicine Residency Program.
